All of our Rosettes are fully customisable and we can do any design of rosette you require.
When it come to choosing a rosette for you occasion you want it to be just right (as well as being the right price).
Really which rosette design comes down to your personal preference or the decision of the committee, but are are a few tips to remember when choosing a Rosette design.
For standard prize giving rosettes it makes sense to choose something that is nice looking and well fitting to the occasion but keeping fairly small as you want to show off higher placed Rosettes (Best in Show for example) so things like the 3 original rosettes (Knife, Box and Ruffle Rosettes) and some like Blackbird or Puffin.
Judging is a powerful role, and concentration is required to give full attention to what you are judging, so the last thing you want is an animal chewing away on the tails of your lovely rosette, although our tails are strong enough to take a bit of this without damage it is off putting, so for animal judging we developed the Kiwi rosette, eye pleasing but animal friendly!.
Award, Corporate and Special Occasion rosettes. Really with such awards you require a Rosette that stands out from the crowd, a rosette that turns heads and gets you noticed! For this look towards the Champion Range, these rosettes are designed for the best of the best awards, however if you are on a tight budget for a few other smaller awards look at the smaller special rosettes like the Hawk, Falcon, Owl, Swan, Buzzard and Kite. For sports fans that want the ultimate in rosette showing there is the Condor, massive in every way it is simply the largest rosette there is!.
What Ribbon Pleat
There are 3 types of Ribbon Pleat for Rosettes: Knife, Box and Ruffle.
How many Tiers of Ribbon
This is again completely up to you and even for standard placing rosettes you can have everything from 1 Tier Rosettes to 3 Tiers or even a combination, For example 1st place rosette is 3 tiers dropping to 2 tiers for 2nd and 3rd and finally for 4th, 5th and 6th (or even further) 1 tiers.
Rosettes are almost limitless in this respect, we can advise if you require help.
What Ribbon Colour
the list of colours is:
Ribbon Colours Available White, Peach, Light Pink, Pink, Cherry, Maroon, Red, Scarlet, Orange, Parchment, Cream, Yellow, Gold, Antique Gold, Apple Green, Emerald Green, Forest Green, Brown, Black, Purple, Lilac, Pearl Grey, Sea Mist Blue, Light Blue, Denim, Aqua Blue, Royal Blue, Navy Blue. Please Note that these colours are an approximate guide only.
When picking colours for your rosette you can either be striking and different with clashing colours or themed but generally do some research and have a think 1st as what might seem nice might not turn out quite what you want.
What Centreboard Colour
As Ribbon colours above really, but here is a list of colours for your Rosette centres, try to keep it the same as the inner tier.
Centreboard Colours Available White, Cream, Beach, Lemon, Royal Blue, Emerald Green, Bottle Green, Pale Green, Spectrum Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, Pink, Navy, Chocolate, Black, Harvest Gold, Lipstick Red, Lilac, Magnolia, Purple, Pale Blue, Azure Blue, Grey, Cherry, Magenta, Jade, Metallic Gold/Silver/Bronze Please Note that these colours are an approximate guide only.
What Text Colour
Try to think about what colours stand out on your rosette, Gold and Silver are the standard but we can do Red, Blue and Black or most other colours.
Wording on Tails
With your Rosette remember there is more space on the Tails than the Centreboard especially when you have put your logo on!.
It is fairly unlimited, however putting long amounts of text on could end up with us having to make it a lot smaller to fit. for example why put "51st Best of Breed Miniature Wire Haired Dachsunds for class 119 at the Southern Dorset Ferret Society Show 2014" when "Best of Breed Min. Wire Dachshund" will do?
Wording on Centres
On Rosette centres it is again almost limitless, mostly a Logo with Text around the outside is done. You could have just the placing for the standard rosettes and the award on the larger rosettes.
For special occasions putting the persons name straight in the centre is a nice touch with a circular border around the outside.
